hereNATWEST CRICKET FORCE 2008NatWest Cricket Force Weekend in 2008 took place on the
5th and 6th of April.
Work undertaken included decorating the Pavilion, Kitchen and Gents Toilets, repairs to the Nets and a general tidy up of the ground ahead of the 2008 Season. Many thanks to all those who offered their time, including volunteers from the Workington branch of Nat WestA good turnout for this years NatWest Cricket Force eventVolunteers from NatWest, Workington, lending a hand at 2008 NWCFJUNIOR CRICKET 2008 ( REGISTRATION FORM in WORD or PDF here )Outdoor training is held every
Monday (Under 15's) and
Wednesday (Kinder/Under 11/Under 13) through the summer at the Club,
6pm - 7.30/8pm.First Outdoor Sessions
7th April (U15) and
2nd April (Kinder to U13's)Indoor Sessions - at the Lakes College, Netherhall and Moorclose are now all finished. Thanks to all who attended.
We will be entering 2 x U11, 2 x U13 and 2 x U15 Teams into the
Cumbria Junior League this season. See

2007 SEASON REVIEWOur First Teams' season reached a thrilling climax with a comprehensive victory over Keswick in the final weekend of the season to deservedly clinch the
North Lancs League Title. Despite a spirited defence by 2006 Champions Cockermouth, Workington had led the 2007 league since the very first week and finished the season with four more victories than their nearest rivals.
Workington CC - 2007 North Lancs League ChampionsTo complete a very succesful season, our First Team also won the
20/20 Cup, defeating Cleator in the final.
Workington CC - 2007 20/20 Cup Winners2007 SEASON JUNIOR REVIEWIn 2007 we entered 5 teams into the
Cumbria Junior Cricket League - 2 at U11, U12, U13 and U15.
Our Under 13's won the
Strollers Ten10 Cup gaining impressive victories over Cockermouth Gold and Penrith in the final. Our U12/U13 teams were runners up in their respective leagues whereas our main U11 team reached both the league play-off and the League Cup Final.
Workington CC was represented at
County Junior level this year by Tom McGeen, Dan McDermott, Adam Chambers and Nick Wood (U15's) and Alex McGeen (U13). At
District level the club was represented by Nick Wood, Matt McClure and Daniel Rice (U14) and Jake Daniel, Matthew Lowden, Andrew Shilito, Andrew Ireland and Ryan Clubley (U12)
Teams from Attock CC and Workington CCIn August, a mixed age Junior team, captained by Dave Pearce played host to a visiting team from Birmingham -
Attock CC who have offered Workington a return match in 2008. (Workington won match by 8 wickets with an unbeaten 50 from Simon Bragg)

31st March, 1st April a team of willing volunteers took part in the 2007
NatWest Cricket Force event.
Work undertaken included painting the sight screen and far boundary Walls, renovating the home team changing rooms, painting, tiling, etc, as well as spring cleaning the pavilion & kitchen and a general clean up of the ground
The event was broadcast live on Saturday by
CFM as part of their
Cumberland Sausage Show and
Greggs kindly provided lunch for all the helpers and kids.

Workington CC, Workington Town RLFC and Tesco present the RNLI (Workington Lifeboat) with £200 following a charity Twenty20 match between WCC and Workington Town RLFC held in August
